Riviera River Cruises is increasing the number of cruises it offers exclusively for solo travelers in 2019 to four, with two departures in the spring and two in the fall. Solo traveler cruises will also expand from the Danube and Rhône rivers to the Douro River.
Solo travelers will enjoy Riviera’s spacious cabins and suites without paying a single supplement.
Riviera River Cruises’ departures for solo travelers debuted in 2018 with The Blue Danube River Cruise for Solo Travelers and The Burgundy, River Rhône & Provence River Cruise for Solo Travelers this fall. Due to demand, Riviera is increasing the number of single-supplement-free departures and expanding them to the Douro River next year.
“These exclusive departures for solo travelers offer the opportunity to experience a European river cruise on a five-star ship with like-minded travelers, without paying a single supplement for any cabin or suite across the entire ship,” said Jana Tvedt, Riviera River Cruises’ U.S. Vice President. “And in 2019, we’re offering them in both spring and fall, which allows guests to enjoy destinations without contending with summer crowds.”
Riviera’s 2019 solo traveler cruises include:
- The Douro, Porto & Salamanca River Cruise for Solo Travelers: Eight days departing March 31, 2019, starting at $2,599 per person.
- The Blue Danube River Cruise for Solo Travelers: Eight days departing April 1 and Oct. 28, 2019, starting at $2,099 per person.
- The Burgundy, the River Rhône & Provence River Cruise for Solo Travelers: Eight days departing Oct. 31, 2019, starting at $2,419.
The single-supplement-free departures aren’t the only option solo travelers have with Riviera River Cruises. Additionally, a limited number of cabins is available single-supplement-free on every Riviera departure throughout the year.
Who Is Riviera?
Riviera is UK-based company that recently set up offices in North America. The company hangs its hat on no hidden costs. You’ll never see two-for-ones, air included, or other specials. What you see is what you pay, what everyone pays. Prices, however, are “unbundled,” meaning that you’ll pay extra if you want beer and wine with lunch and dinner, included at no additional cost on nearly all other river cruise companies.
