The holiday season is often accompanied by an array of cookies, pies, cakes, and other baked goods. This Christmas season, Emerald Cruises found a way to combine holiday baking with sailing on their Festive Delights of the Danube sailing featuring Mary Berry, British baker and host of the Great British Baking Show.
The eight-day Festive Delights of the Danube sailing with Mary Berry will depart Nuremberg on December 1, 2018 and sail through Germany, Austria, and Slovakia, visiting some of Europe’s Christmas markets before concluding in Budapest. Guests on this sailing will have several opportunities to meet and sail with the British Baking star. In Vienna, Mary Berry will join guests for a delicious afternoon tea where she will share tales from her career during an informal Q&A session; the next day in Bratislava, guests will attend a book signing where they will receive a complimentary copy of her latest publication. Lastly, a Christmas dinner gala will feature courses chosen by Mary Berry.
The cruise will tour some of the Christmas markets in Europe, including Vienna, where the market is held just in front of the city’s “rathaus” (town hall), and Nuremburg’s Christmas market, which dates to 1628 and reminds visitors that this town has a history of creating toys.
Pricing for the sailing starts at $2,295 per person based on double occupancy, and guests who book by May 31 will receive a $300 discount per person and 50% off all cabin upgrades, based on availability.
