Great news for solo travellers: California-based AmaWaterways has a promotion through the end of this month that lets solo cruisers book a stateroom aboard one of the line’s river cruise ships without having to pay the traditional “single supplement” charge.
Valid for bookings made until March 31, the promotion is – as always – offered in limited quantities and cannot be combined with any other promotions. But this is a good opportunity for those who have wanted to river cruise solo.
Available in select stateroom categories on select 2013 departures, the offer is available on AmaWaterways’ popular Holland and Belgium sailings aboard the AmaVerde and AmaPrima that depart on April 19 and April 30.
Solo travelers can also get in on the savings aboard the line’s weeklong Paris and Normandy itineraries departing May 2 and July 4 aboard the AmaLegro, as well as the Romantic Danube and Blue Danube Discovery sailings, and the line’s 14-night Magnificent Europe departures.
River cruising is one of the best vacations a solo traveler can take thanks to the intimate and friendly atmosphere onboard. It’s easy to make friends and meet people on a river cruise, and the group nature of it – all excursions are conducted in guided group tours – means that the solo traveler never has to feel out of place.
Of course, the remaining itineraries that aren’t part of this promotion still readily accept solo cruisers; the main difference is that on departures outside of this promotion, a Single Supplement of 50 percent of the twin price for standard staterooms, 100 percent of the price for Suites and Junior Suites.
