Europe has more navigable rivers than any other region in the world — and arguably more diverse cultures along its river banks than any place else.

Which river will you cruise?
Europe’s major rivers include Eastern Europe’s Danube, and the Germanic rivers: Rhine, Main, Moselle, Neckar and Elbe. France’s Seine, Saone and Rhone rivers also are popular for river cruises and barging. So many choices.
Though some cruises operate on Italy’s longest river, the Po is largely unnavigable because of low water levels and sediment.

We have done Viking Cruises a couple times and looking for a little then Viking.
My wife have done the river cruises to Portugal and the one to Budapest to Amsterdam
Looking forward exploring around September or October this year. Open to suggestions for destinations.
We like to walk but being in upper 70’s limited to anything more then easy walking.
Venice to Dubrovnik, Athens, Ephesus, Rome , Pisa, Barcelona.
Wife and I are now in our early 60’s, and have never been to Europe. Love the prospect of this river cruise thing, as she gets motion sickness on large cruise ships in the ocean. We are not wealthy, but consider this possibly a one-time experience, so would not want to skimp by. Really don’t like being with children, if any of these are kid-free zones. Am really interested in Rhine or Danube, but don’t know the best one for first time experience. Can you help? Looking to travel overseas late 2020 or 2021.

We are seniors looking for our first European river cruise. Our budget is limited, so reasonable cost is important, but the quality of the experience is equally important. Any suggestions will be most appreciated.
I tried for35 minutes to buy your 49,95 color version of your book.Amazon said I have an accout but can’t tell me how much of a credit balance I have because I can’t remember my zip code from an address I had several years ago. I tried to open a new account with a temporary password they supplied. Their computer won’t accept the new password they supplied a few minutes ago. I gave up in frustration.
