PRINCESSE D’AQUITAINE Ship Review
PRINCESSE D’AQUITAINE Overview
Sailing the Gironde River, CroisiEurope’s Princesse d’Aquitaine was constructed in 2001 and refurbished in 2011. At 361 feet in length, she can accommodate 138 passengers in 69 staterooms for an intimate and personable river cruising experience.
PRINCESSE D’AQUITAINE Staterooms
Princesse d’Aquitaine’s 69 staterooms are nearly identical in size and amenities. Their main differences lie in their physical placement on the ship’s two passenger decks.
Each stateroom includes a private bathroom with shower, toilet and sink/vanity area; a hairdryer, personal safe and a satellite television set.
While each stateroom offers large picture windows of the gorgeous Gironde, it is worth noting that staterooms aboard Princesse d’Aquitaine do not feature French balconies.
PRINCESSE D’AQUITAINE Public Areas
Princesse d’Aquitaine features a main Restaurant located all the way aft on Upper Deck. Meals are served buffet-style for breakfast, with a set menu that changes daily for lunch and dinner. The Restaurant has an intimate feel and encourages a social atmosphere, with a variety of table sizes.
All the way forward on the same deck is Princesse d’Aquitaine’s Main Lounge, which features 180-degree Panoramic windows offering views of the Gironde. With a full-service bar, it’s a great place to relax and enjoy newfound company. The Lounge also features a decently sized dance floor that becomes well-used as the night wears on.
