If you’re anything like us, you have been eager to get back on a cruise ship since March 2020. You might already have sailings lined up for 2021 and 2022, but for those of you who have been dreaming of booking a cruise once the pandemic is over with – the time to do so is now.
For years now, cruise companies have offered itineraries at discounted prices during wave season (typically running from January through March). This year’s wave season is a great time to book voyage, be it in 2021 or beyond. With wave season in full force, there’s no better time to turn your aspirational voyages and daydreams into reality.
Let’s take a look at the wave season deals you should take advantage of in 2021.
American Cruise Lines

American Cruise Lines’ special Wave Season deals are currently available on select spring and summer 2021 itineraries, including cruises aboard brand new riverboats American Jazz and American Melody.

Riviera

Riviera River Cruises will offer guests €400 (~USD$486) per cabin on its European river cruises. This onboard credit is available for new bookings made through Feb. 28, 2021. Other savings opportunities include a US$500 discount on cabins and US$250 gift card for travel advisors for retail bookings, and a free sixth cabin after five cabins are booked as part of a group. Valid for sailings booked before January 31, 2021.

Guests booking a balcony suite on Diamond or Sapphire Decks will receive up to 10 percent savings on select 2022 itineraries – with an additional bonus savings of up to 10% for paying in full 12 months prior to departure. In addition to a discounted cruise fare, guests booking nearly any 2021 European sailing can choose free economy airfare or US$1,200 per guest fare savings.
Scenic is also offering free Single Supplements on select sailings in 2021 and 50 percent Single Supplements on 2022 select sailings.
For passengers looking to explore beyond Europe, Scenic offers Southeast Asia itineraries. Guests booking a 12-day or longer Scenic 2022 Southeast Asia river cruise will receive free economy air and up to an extra 10 percent off the cruise fare if they pay in full 12 months prior to departure. Shorter sailings, such as the 11-day Luxury Mekong & Temple Discovery Cruise and the 11-day Luxury Irrawaddy, come with US$495 economy airfares as well as the early pay in full savings of 10 percent.
Bookings must be made by March 31, 2021 to qualify.

Uniworld Boutique River Cruises is preparing for the return of travel with their new Cruise Back Into Travel offer where travelers can save up to 30 percent on select dates and itineraries now through March 31.
