The Briare Aqueduct, featuring 14 masonry supports that were built by the Eiffel company. Until recently, the Briare Aqueduct was the longest navigable aqueduct in the world.

I can’t get enough of canal cruising in France, so with my October 11-17, 2019 Alsace barge cruise now sold out, I’m adding a second barge cruise. This one will take place on the legendary Loire Canal, October 24-30, 2019. The Loire will mark my fifth hosted canal cruise. All have been such great experiences that I look to do as many as I can.
