CroisiEurope River Cruises has released its 2019 cruise schedule. Next year’s cruises will include Normandy, Bordeaux, Provence and more. The new year will also mark the addition of a sixth ship on Portugal’s Douro River, the MS Amelia Rodregues.
Guests who book a new 2019 cruise by August 31, 2018 will save 10 percent per passenger by using the booking code EARBOOUS.
The MS Amelia Rodregues will make its debut during the spring of 2019 on the Douro River. The new ship will be a sister ship to the MS Miguel Torga, which was added to the fleet in 2017. The ship will measure 37.4 feet by 262.5 feet and hold 66 cabins spread over three decks with capacity for 132 passengers.
Beginning next year, the MS Amelia Rodregues will be used on a number of 6-day and 8-day Douro River Cruises. One such itinerary is the 6-day Porto and the Douro Valley program. This cruise provides guests the chance to visit Lamego and Vila Real, or Guimaraes. Guests will also explore the gardens of the Casa de Mateus, the tram museum in Porto, or the wine cellars along Vila Nova de Gaia.
Prices for the 6-day Porto and the Douro Valley program onboard the MS Amelia Rodregues will start at $1,833 per person and include all meals and drinks served on board (except champagne and drinks from a special list denoting additional charges), excursions as indicated on the itinerary, a gala dinner, onboard entertainment, travel assistance/insurance and all port fees.
