The 2019 European river cruise season promises to be a busy one for Emerald Cruises—with seven Star-Ships plying the Danube, Rhine, Main, Rhône, Saône and Douro rivers, the Australian company continues to expand its reach.
Emerald Cruises’ 2019 season will bring two new ways to explore the Danube River. On the new 8-day Classic Danube river cruise, guests will sail from Nuremberg to Vienna with more time to learn about the military history of Nuremberg and take in some Austrian culture in Passau and Melk. The 8-day Lower Danube Waltz itinerary, which takes guests from Vienna to Belgrade, pays a visit to the Eastern European city of Budapest before taking guests to Osijek, Croatia to enjoy lunch in the home of a local family and onto Serbian towns of Novi Sad and Belgrade.
Guests booking any 2019 European river cruise by August 15, 2018 will receive free or reduced airfare depending on stateroom selection. Guest booking a suite on Horizon Deck will receive free, round trip airfare to Europe; guests on the Vista Deck will receive round trip air for $295; and guests on the Riviera Deck will receive round trip air for $495. In lieu of air, guests may opt to receive a discount on their booking, with $1,000, $700 and $500 off per person, respectively.
Those wishing to make the most of the complimentary airfare can extend their holiday with pre- and post-cruise land tours in some of Europe’s most popular cities like Berlin, Lisbon, Nice, and Prague. For those looking to book a longer stretch on the river, Emerald Cruises offers the ability to combine two itineraries to create a custom sailing itinerary.
