It’s been an exciting few weeks here at River Cruise Advisor. Last week, the intrepid Ralph Grizzle sailed onboard A-ROSA Silva on one of the line’s Christmas Markets river cruise roundtrip from Frankfurt, Germany.

Not only did he get to experience A-ROSA’s trademark all-inclusive river cruise product, he was also treated to some of the best Christmas Markets in Germany and France. He even managed to get in the odd cycle ashore, courtesy of the line’s complimentary bicycles.

While Ralph’s journey concludes on Tuesday, my own begins: a weeklong sailing from Basel, Switzerland to the Dutch city of Amsterdam aboard Viking Rivers’ Viking Baldur.
